Hebes thrive in the cool summers and mild winters of the Pacific Northwest and northern California. ‘Great Orme’ hebe prefers full sun to dappled shade and moist, well-drained soil. Butterflies find it hard to resist the blooms that begin in late summer and fade to white. Use this gorgeous evergreen shrub in foundation plantings and borders wherever summers are relatively mild and winters are USDA Zone 6 or warmer.
