Moss-covered garden statue
The statue's shielding pose was no match for the moss.

We were whisked away with whimsy at the sight of this moss-covered garden statue from reader Liz. So much, in fact, that we selected it as our favorite this week. Congratulations!

Liz also shared that this photo was taken at a friend's garden in England and had been accumulating moss for over 25 years. 25 years! We love the shades of green that spread across the stone lady, progressing from nearly-black to forest green to vibrant lime in a way that makes it look as if she's wearing a couture gown. If you love this photo as much as we do, consider creating a moss garden of your own.

Your photo entries keep making our jobs harder each week, with more and more stunning images to choose from. Enter to be our next Pic of the Week for your shot at a $100 Visa gift card!
