Nasturtium (Tropaeolum majus) is known for its fast growth and cheery flowers. This edible annual thrives in full sun and flowers best when soil isn’t fertile. Varieties include short, bushy plants and climbing vines, with red, maroon, orange, yellow, cream or bicolor flowers. Tropaeolum majus ‘Variegata’ has variegated foliage. Nasturtium blooms until really hot weather arrives.
